I am Ning; I was born and raised in Singapore. I am poised to begin my final year of majoring in English and minoring in Media Studies at the University of Virginia.

I have brief experience in writing movie and music reviews. I am currently working on reviving a fiction portfolio.

If I were to come up with a vague, pretentious statement on my future thesis – if I decide to write a thesis – it would be about how art reflects life and life reflects art. Central case studies would include the white-trash era, global crises as portrayed by the media… and maybe Nancy Drew books.
